It is a 1.7 mile loop trail in Meredith. Typically an easier trail, the recent snow on the ground coupled with the new snow falling brought on a few challenges. However, the peacefulness of getting into the woods on such a glorious winter day could not be beat. Take a look at the calendar for upcoming February hiking dates. The results are in. You voted with your dollars and made this one of our best scholarship drives ever. The MWC Bake Sale raised close to $4400! Wow! That’s remarkable! Best news, 100% will go to scholarships for Moultonborough Academy students.&nbsp;The MWC wants to thank everyone in Moultonborough that stopped by our bake sale table after voting, all the MWC members that worked the table and especially all the MWC bakers that were culinary queens at creating such delectable desserts. A delicious lunch was enjoyed by the MWC ladies at the Birch &amp; Vine Restaurant, on Thursday January 18th. MWC Ladies Dine Out ~ Birch & Vine

It is with some sadness that we will be saying goodbye to MWC member Anne Marie Bedford. She has owned a home in Moultonborough for 18 years and joined the MWC 5 years ago when she became a year-round resident here after retiring. Anne Marie graduated from the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City. An esteemed pianist, she went on to become an Associate Professor at West Chester University, Head of Piano at Immaculate University and Assistant Professor of Piano at Duquesne University. Her accomplishments are long and impressive! Now, at the tender age of 85 years, Anne Marie has decided to make the move down to Connecticut to be closer to her son. If you see her, wish her well. While she is taking her gorgeous and treasured black satin grand piano with her to her new home, other items will not be joining her. She has included a list of household items that she will be parting with, should you have any interest, please reach out to her. MWC Member News ~ Anne Marie Bedford

The MWC co presidents, Libby Reichlen and Joanne Wilhelm, hosted a new member Coffee Connections at Identity Coffee Co. in Meredith. It was wonderful hearing how welcomed the new members felt attending the club meetings. Many of them have also been joining in on the club social activities and plan on doing even more with the club down the road.
