MWC member Susan Smith ran a lively discussion on November’s MWC Book Group choice of “An American Beauty” by Shana Abe. There were some end-of-day sweet treats to accompany the book review.Planning ahead: The MWC Book Group for the Spring will be reading “The Only Woman in the Room” by Marie Benedict. MWC Book Group ~ "The Only Woman in the Room"

MWC members gathered at the Cup &amp; Crumb for some morning coffee, scones and conversation. All were excellent, as expected! Most everyone was a new or nearly new member. It’s so exciting meeting and getting to know so many wonderful women. MWC Coffee Connections ~ Cup & Crumb

The MWC Hiking Group had 11 ladies (and one token man) join in the hike to Rainbow Falls in Plymouth. It was a wonderful, crisp November day in the NH woods and recent rains meant that Rainbow Falls was a joy to see. The 1.6 mile loop trail (we took a slight detour to the top of the falls, making it slightly longer) meandered through the Walter-Newton Conservation Area to the falls, then circled back out by the babbling brook. The trail was well groomed with several wooden bridges and large stepping stones over muddy areas. Definitely worth a return trip during different seasons. MWC Hiking Group ~ Rainbow Falls

Last week, MWC members gathered at the Moultonborough Recreation Department to learn and play the very civilized card game of Bridge. Experienced player and MWC member Dottie Simpson explained the rules and dealt out winning hands.&nbsp;The MWC Bridge Group will continue to meet and play bridge on Tuesday afternoons. These are a small sampling of the beautiful hand knitted and crocheted hats, gloves and mittens that will be donated by the MWC members to the Meredith Village Savings Bank for their holiday Mitten Tree.&nbsp;Please bring your donations to the next meeting on Monday, December 4, 2023 or arrange pick-up.
