She spoke on the importance of maintaining a balanced physical and emotional well-being state. Karin began her yoga journey 20 years ago and is currently an instructor at The Studio Scissorgy Day Spa in Moultonborough, NH. Karin is certified through the Abhyasa Yoga Institute and received her aerial yoga certification through the unnata method. In addition to her studio work and yoga travel, she teaches yoga at a Laconia after-school program for elementary students. Karin shared with MWC members how she loves the beautiful all-encompassing practice of challenging one's mind, body and spirit. After taking everyone through a breathing exercise, members left feeling a little more grounded and at peace. Namaste.

Jayne received unanimous vote by the Board to serve in this position. Jayne has had a home in Moultonborough for many years; as a full-time resident for the last 2 years. Prior to moving here full-time, she lived in Amherst, NH where she had club experience with the Women’s Junior League and the Amherst Garden Club. She is sure to bring her enthusiasm and experience the club. Currently, Jayne is employed as a local realtor in Meredith and she is an avid animal lover. When not boating on the lake, she enjoys spending time with her wonderfully close and expanding family. The club is grateful to have her step into the leadership role as MWC Vice President.

The MWC Hiking Group took a hike to Beede Falls and Lower Falls in Sandwich earlier in the month of December. Fortunately, there was mostly only scattered patches of snow on the ground, so trekking down to the falls was done with relative ease. The upper waterfall was cascading down the chute into the small pond below. It’s a nice, clearly marked hike close to downtown Center Sandwich and off of Sandwich Notch Road. The hiking group did the hike before the narrow, dirt Notch Road closes for the winter. If you haven’t joined the group for a hike in 2023, definitely get out with them in 2024. Avid knitter and MWC member Peg Young was on hand to decorate the tree with many of her gorgeous creations. Co-President Joanne Wilhelm joined in on festooning the tree with hats. Overall, MWC members donated 169 items that are sure to keep people warm this winter as the temperature drops. If you are in need of warm hats/gloves, stop by and choose something off the tree until New Year's eve. They’re FREE and were made with love. All remaining items will be donated to local schools and nonprofits. Happy First Day of Winter!

They then stopped by a couple of the beautifully decorated downtown stores (with great window box displays) to pick up Christmas gifts. It was especially nice that very new member Mary showed up after just attending her first club meeting last week! Look forward to seeing these woman on the MWC hikes!

MWC Coffee Connections ~ North Main Cafe

Family Support Specialist, Shannon Moore, of Waypoint graciously received the donation. The difference that these gifts will make to the young children on Christmas morning can not be measured. But what we can tell you is that they will create memories of joy of having received gifts that otherwise would not be under the tree. A big THANK YOU to all our generous and thoughtful members. Your kindness is appreciated.
