They completed the 2 mile loop trail, which is part of the 763-acre forest in Meredith. There are seven popular trails of varying lengths from which to choose. Lots of wildlife, waterfalls and streams; depending upon the season. It’s just great to get outside in the winter to experience snowshoe/micro-spike hiking on these trails. If you are a current MWC member and would like details on upcoming hikes, let us know. It’s always an enjoyable and rewarding time.

Each month the Moultonborough Women’s Club chooses a local charity that could use our assistance and then we call upon our membership to help out to meet their needs. For the February meeting, we asked MWC members to bring in food staples to be donated to the the Lakes Region Food Pantry &amp; Thrift Shop because “No one should have an empty plate.” And, oh my, you brought the food staples! The heaping, overflowing grocery bags filled the table at the food pantry. Bob McSorley, of the LRFP, expressed deep appreciation for all the donations. The food will go to good use in serving the food needs of those in our local communities. Thank you all for your kind generosity.

You really make each month special and sweet.We are grateful to the women who welcome guests at the registration table and help members sign up for upcoming activities.We are grateful for all the incredible ladies at the raffle table who add a little excitement to each meeting as everyone waits to see if their winning ticket is pulled.And of course, we are grateful for every member and guest who show-up to share their day with us. You put the “Women” in MWC. You are all appreciated.

It is a 1.7 mile loop trail in Meredith. Typically an easier trail, the recent snow on the ground coupled with the new snow falling brought on a few challenges. However, the peacefulness of getting into the woods on such a glorious winter day could not be beat. Take a look at the calendar for upcoming February hiking dates. If you are a MWC member and would like to be added to the MWC hiking group’s, let us know. You will then receive email updates on each hike.

The results are in. You voted with your dollars and made this one of our best scholarship drives ever. The MWC Bake Sale raised close to $4400! Wow! That’s remarkable! Best news, 100% will go to scholarships for Moultonborough Academy students.&nbsp;The MWC wants to thank everyone in Moultonborough that stopped by our bake sale table after voting, all the MWC members that worked the table and especially all the MWC bakers that were culinary queens at creating such delectable desserts.
