Sunset Cruise

Moultonborough Women's Club welcomed new members at the first New Member Tea Party of the fall.&nbsp; Members enjoyed a selection of savory and sweet treats at the tea hosted by Amy Corston, Tina Middlebrook and Sara Prouty.&nbsp; On a beautiful early Fall day, the Moultonborough Women's Club held a craft sale in Heath's parking lot in Center Harbor. What colorful and creative wares were displayed and sold! Thanks to all who knitted, crocheted, sewed and glued the variety of items. Fall Craft Fair!

The Moultonborough Women’s Club is gearing up for another year full of interesting local speakers, fun activities, friendship and, of course, dedicated support to local students and charities. The Club has awarded over $237,000 to deserving Moultonborough students since 1960 and donated to local charities like the Moultonborough Food Pantry, Starting Point and the Granite State VNA.As always, the year kicked off with a BYO luncheon at the Geneva Point Center featuring the beloved Coffee Can Auction which raised over $700. The Club will continue to meet the first Monday of every month through May at the Moultonborough Function Hall to enjoy fellowship and interesting speakers from local organizations. In October, Mark Ishkanian and Pat Tarpey from the Lake Winnipesaukee Association will be giving a presentation on cyanobacteria in the lake.In addition to the monthly meetings, there are so many different activities to choose from and different ways to get involved including dining out, service opportunities, book club, crafting, travel and more. "What a gorgeous day yesterday to have the annual September meeting of the MWC at Geneva Point Center. The room was filled with laughter and great conversations after a brief summer break, because let's be real, we all needed a nap. As always the Hostess set a lovely table filled with goodies to enjoy by all, and by goodies, I mean the calories we've been avoiding all summer. Thank you to those who made it happen. The Activities Table was surrounded by an influx of sign-uppers to join in the many fun and inspiring events on the calendar, because who doesn't love a good excuse to get out of the house? A huge thank you to Joelle Casey for the cool and very artistic board of activities she created, it was almost too pretty to use. Ways and Means committee lead by Sharon Paton and crew table(s) displayed numerous and fun items for the coffee can auction, including the infamous blueberry lemon cake baked by Kathy, which I'm pretty sure was the real reason everyone showed up. Big shout out to Chair, Leslie Ann Angelo and her committee for getting the handbooks out for the year with its new design, because who doesn't love a good handbook? So much work and an incredible amount of time delivered by so many women to make this Club the huge success it is, and by huge success, I mean we didn't burn down the building, so that's a win. As the saying goes it takes a Village, and by village, I mean a bunch of crazy women who somehow make it work.
