They then stopped by a couple of the beautifully decorated downtown stores (with great window box displays) to pick up Christmas gifts. It was especially nice that very new member Mary showed up after just attending her first club meeting last week! Look forward to seeing these woman on the MWC hikes!

MWC Coffee Connections ~ North Main Cafe

Family Support Specialist, Shannon Moore, of Waypoint graciously received the donation. The difference that these gifts will make to the young children on Christmas morning can not be measured. But what we can tell you is that they will create memories of joy of having received gifts that otherwise would not be under the tree. A big THANK YOU to all our generous and thoughtful members. Your kindness is appreciated.

MWC Charitable Works ~ Waypoint Kids Toys

Congratulations to MWC member Deb Wiacek for completing “52 With a View” NH hikes and earning the coveted “Over the Hill Hikers” patch. This is no small feat. She is shown celebrating her accomplishment with her friend, Jane, and many of her hiking buddies on top of North Percy. Stop by the Moultonborough Recreation Department TODAY on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 1 PM-3 PM to play and even learn how to play the game of bridge. The ladies are quite welcoming and will walk you through how to play like a pro. Then return on ongoing Tuesdays, resuming after the holidays on January 2, 2024 to hone your skills. Bring snacks, ingratiate yourself and maybe, just maybe, they’ll then let you take a photo of them, and not just their “hands”.

MWC Bridge Group

Last Wednesday, the MWC Hiking Group’s word of the day was out of Tom Brady’s playbook - “agility”. When there was a change in hike leadership, smaller group size and a snowfall the night before, the group pivoted. The hike changed from being Bennett Rd Hike to Mt Katherine. It was a 3.3 mile loop trail in Tamworth, NH that went through pastures, up to a viewpoint and then by a babbling brook. MWC Hiking Group ~ Mt Katherine

The MWC ladies donned their winter coats and headed down to the Colonial Theater in Laconia to listen to the Vienna Boys Choir. There truly isn’t a bad seat in the house and &nbsp;there &nbsp;are so &nbsp;many &nbsp;wonderful &nbsp;shows that travel to this venue. On this particular evening, it was a the boys choir’s performance with the most angelic of voices that truly got everyone in the holiday spirit.
