These are a small sampling of the beautiful hand knitted and crocheted hats, gloves and mittens that will be donated by the MWC members to the Meredith Village Savings Bank for their holiday Mitten Tree.&nbsp;Please bring your donations to the next meeting on Monday, December 4, 2023 or arrange pick-up. All enjoyed truly fabulously tasty food among wonderful company and in a gorgeous barn-like setting. We even had a very personable waiter who entertained us with his “colorful” stories. It’s was so nice to get out in the evening to share a meal with these engaging women. We’re definitely going to make dining out a regular event. Glad to announce that new MWC member Karen Ciardi will be organizing these events going further. So many fabulous restaurants from which to choose. MWC Ladies Dine Out ~ Pub on Page

This past Wednesday, seven artsy MWC members spent a creative afternoon, under the tutelage of member Janet Schurko, learning to craft whimsical gum ball ornaments. Janet is a patient teacher in the art of crafting Christmas ornaments, as she has been creating original ornaments for her children and grandchildren for well over 20 years! The ornaments made by MWC members will be gifted to the residents of Mountain View Community Nursing Home in Ossipee, NH. They are sure to bring whimsy to the tree and joy to the residents during the upcoming holiday season.&nbsp;There are more crafting sessions scheduled, should you want to join in on the fun. In fact, there’s one this afternoon at 1 PM. MWC Charitable Works ~ Holiday Ornaments

Kathy Garry, MWC member and member of the Moultonborough Historical Society, presided over the “Honor Our Veterans” breakfast that was held on Friday, November 10, 2023. Invited guest speaker, MWC member Jane Sheffer Harrington, recounted the many wonderful aspects of being a “military wife”. Featuring over 200 photographs of historic Moultonborough, many drawn from family albums and never before published, the selected images range from the late 1800s to the early 1960s. This new book’s focus is on historic buildings, farms, and camps, with period scenes of recreation and transportation. Image captions identify places and their local significance. The authors will be happy to sign your copy of this new community book celebrating Moultonborough history, which also makes a great holiday gift. A slideshow of images featured in the book, as well as additional photographs that could not fit in, will be on display on the big screen during the open house. Refreshments generously provided by the Friends of the Moultonborough Public Library. FREE and RSVP not required.

The MWC Hiking Group had a beautifully sunny and cool day to hike the trails of Chamberlain Reynolds Memorial Forest in Center Harbor, NH.
