And there’s always one rule enforcer in the group and everyone knows who it is in this group! Come play Mexican train dominoes with these ladies on Friday mornings at 10 AM at Identity Coffee Co. in Meredith. Just be sure to give Gayle Russell a “heads up” so she can plan to have enough tiles for everyone. So. Much. Fun.

These smaller get-togethers, outside of the large monthly meetings, truly gives everyone the opportunity to learn more about each other. We learn about where each other came from, what brought them to the area, about their professions, family and shared outside interests. It often leads to individually making plans with someone to connect outside the group. It also helps to strengthen our bonds in the community as we support small businesses like The Boro Baking Co.! If you are a MWC member, think about joining us next month, if you haven’t had a chance to do so yet. It’s very informal. Next month we’re heading out to breakfast at The Village Kitchen. Join us!

The women of MWC baked all week to make sure tables were full of many kinds of muffins at the Moultonborough School District - SAU 45 meeting on a Saturday. You helped us raise over $800 for the scholarship fund! Truly outstanding. Thank you to MWC VP Jayne Savage for organizing the event and to all the bakers that helped make this event a huge success. Next time we're going to have to look into having coffee to go with those muffins. Maybe even a cookie or two, because cookies can be for breakfast, too.

They all agreed that it was exciting to learn that the story behind the glamorous movie actress Hedy Lemarr was one they never heard before. Often women’s historical significance beyond beauty and fame is ignored in the history books. It was an enlightening piece to read.
