Mary Whiting and Sheila McCleery have organized a perfect day for us.  We’re starting with some serious shopping at  Tramway Artisans (yes, they really do have 70,000 items to see) and then heading to Hobbs Tavern to catch up with our friends over a great lunch.  Grab your favorite shopping buddy and meet us at MPL at 9:30AM for the carpool. MWC Winni Walkers Tuesdays & Thursdays, meet at 9:00AM  

Come and join the MWC Winni Walkers!  A casual walking group looking to get a little fresh air and enjoy great company.  Frequency: 1–3 times a week – whatever works for you!  Distance: We’ll aim for 1–3 miles, depending on how everyone feels.  This is all about having fun, connecting, and enjoying the beautiful mornings together. The Sweet Service ladies gather at 9:00AM at the M’boro Library.  They deliver home-baked goodies to local nonprofits, businesses and our town departments, including the M’boro Post Office.  To help bake or deliver, contact Pam King.

In this class, students will learn to paint flowers with acrylics on a canvas from the gallery assigned artist and gallery owner,
Fabiana Walsh.  The duration of the event is 3 hours with a middle break of 15 minutes so everyone can have the chance to talk and share the progress of their work.  The gallery will provide refreshments such as coffee, teas, and water along with snacks and pastries but you are also welcome to bring your own.

Taste of Ireland Group Tour!

May 15-21, 2026 Join the MWC for a group trip to Ireland! 

The trip highlights Blarney Castle, Cliffs of Moher, Dublin Castle, an Irish Night in Dublin, a Medieval Castle Banquet, the Ring of Kerry, a Sheepdog Demonstration, Skellig Experience and more!

Town-Wide Yard Sale

Saturday May 16th 8:00AM – 12:00NOON

Looking to declutter during your spring cleaning? We’ll be collecting items to include in our sale. If you have household goods, small furniture, books, toys, décor, tools, or other items in good condition that you no longer need, please consider donating them. Your contributions will help make this event a success!  Lake Life Realty is organizing this town-wide yard sale on Saturday, May 16th and will include our location on their map and advertise for us. It’s a Win, Win.  MWC location is TBD.

Ways to participate:

      • You can reserve a table and sell your items; we ask that you donate a portion of your sales to MWC.
      • You can donate items with all proceeds donated to MWC.
      • You can work on the day of the sale

Those items that don’t sell will be picked up and donated to the Hearts and Hands Thrift Shop in Meredith unless you request return of your item(s). Action by April 15th: Please contact Kerry Soroka or Libby Reichlen if you would like to participate.

Annual Plant Sale Fundraiser!

Calling all plant enthusiasts! We’re gearing up for our MWC Annual Plant Sale and whether you’re a plant enthusiast or just love to be involved, we have a need for your help. The Plant Sale will happen just when you are dividing those overgrown patches or moving plants and a focus of our community is on planting. We are in need of plants, bulbs/tubers and lots of pots!

We have lots of amazing gardeners in the group and our neighbors love to get high quality plants!! So, please take a look around your gardens and see what could be divided and available for the sale.

What we need:

      • Growers: Members who can donate potted plants, tubers and/or bulbs
      • Helpers: Members who can help set up and work the tables on Saturday
      • Members who can help posting flyers advertising the event

Lunch at a Members House!  Ready to mix things up?  Join our fifth Lucky Draw Lunch!  Sign up for the chance to be one of ten (five each house) lucky guests chosen for a lunch hosted by a fellow member.  Jayne Savage and Kerry Soroka will be hosting.  They will choose a fun theme and all you need to do is bring a dish to share!.  It’s a great way to meet new people and connect with friends. 

The luncheon will be held on Friday, June 12th at 11:30 AM. Email Mary Bishop or sign up at our April meeting for your chance to be paired with a host and other members for a fun luncheon.

This is a Mini Hiking Group, not a Walking group. Mini hikes of 2-3 miles, with some low elevation, roots, rocks, leaves, snow, ice, etc.  The duration will be approximately 2 hours depending on the trail, weather conditions (think snow), and speed of the hikers. Contact Lin Bastan for more details!
