The Moultonborough Women's Club met on October 7 and had the opportunity to learn more about the New Hampshire Boat Museum and their new location now open on Route 25 in Moultonborough. The presentation given by Wendy Stocker and Jaime Laurent outlined the Museum's mission to educate patrons and preserve the boating heritage of the region. Their new location gives them 25,000 feet to display boats ranging from an Abernaki dugout to mahogany crafts. The organization also offers programs on a variety of subjects from boat building and safety to model yachting, sailing, and boat and motor restoration.

The Guest Speaker at our next monthly meeting will be Shannon Moore from Waypoint NH, a nonprofit organization offering support to those experiencing a wide range of challenges from poverty to homelessness to mental illness. The organization serves all age groups and has many programs geared to young children and the elderly. The meeting will be held on Monday, November 4 at 1:30 at the Moultonborough Community Center on Old Route 109 in Moultonborough
