Children's Storytime and Crafts

Thursdays at 3:30 pm.  MWC Ladies weekly reading and crafts program for children at the Moultonborough Public Library.

Those interested in volunteering to read should reach out to Nancy Hill.  Children and grandchildren are invited to attend.

Mini Hiking and Snowshoeing

This Member Mini Hiking Group is not a Walking group.  Mini hikes of 2-3 miles, with some low elevation, roots, rocks, leaves, snow, ice, etc.  We hike for fun, friendship, exercise, and adventure!  Duration of the hikes will be approximately 2 hours depending on the trail, weather conditions (think snow), and speed of the hikers.

Book Club - November 20th

Learn to Bake Homemade Holiday Pies!

Tuesday, November 26th 10AM-2PM, Learn to Bake Homemade Holiday Pies at  Prescott Farm  928 White Oaks Road, Laconia.  Homemade pies, reminiscent of grandma’s, start with fresh, seasonal ingredients and are baked from scratch. Participants will first learn how to make your own pie crust, then learn the secrets of fruit and custard-filled (pumpkin) pies. Bring your two pies home to enjoy or freeze them to share during the upcoming holidays!  Participants should bring a bag lunch for this 4 hour class. MWC Members Only.  Your $40 non-refundable payment reserves your spot. Minimum of 8 participants to run the class and 15 maximum.  Questions?  Contact Mary Bishop

Settlers Green Outlets in North Conway

Shopping, lunch or other activities at Settlers Green Outlets in North Conway early December.  We are organizing a bus to drop us off for 3 hours of fun before returning back to M’Boro and we need an idea of interest.  Contact Mary Bishop 

Party!  Blown Glass Ornaments 

Thursday, December 12 th 12-2:30PM at  Art Escape, 636 Union Avenue, Laconia.  Join us at Art Escape for the hottest party around.  Instructors will teach us the art of blowing and shaping molten glass into German style ornaments and plant watering globes using a torch.  Each participant will make 2 ornaments.  Your $40 non-refundable payment reserves your spot.  Minimum 12 participants to run the class.  Questions?  Contact Mary Bishop     MWC Members Only. 

Clothing:  Please wear cotton clothing that sleeves can be pulled up.  Closed toed shoes and have hair tied back.

Monday, April 7th at 1:30PM  This month we showcase volunteer opportunities with Kim Prause from Castle in the Clouds, Kathryn Holt from Interlakes Community Caregivers and Carol Raymond from Squam Lakes Natural Science Center.  Monthly charity:  Lions Club’s SightFirst program.

Art in Bloom at the MFA in Boston.  

Shelia will be organizing a bus and tickets and she needs to know who has interest in joining in on the fun!  Plan ahead for May 2, 2025!  Art In Bloom comes to life with 45 floral arrangements that are inspired by MFA art and created by New England area garden clubs and floral designers.  Contact Shelia McCleery or sign the Interest Sheet at the next MWC meeting!
